Secret talismans, Lush Caves & Mosstrosity

Unlock the mossy area: collect eight secret chest talismans, open the Howling Woods gates, then enter Lush Caves to face Mosstrosity. Includes the Medallion of Momentum route and community puzzle guidance.

The collection opens access to the encounter. The eight unlock talismans and the boss’s Wonderful Wheat reward are separate acquisition routes.

Unlock route

Track all eight chest talismans in the checklist below. Five have fixed world-map markers; the other three require a particular dungeon or rift room.
Collect the five fixed chests across the Overworld and the Sift. Use each entry’s map link and the matching community video chapter for the approach.
Explore Deep Dark dungeons for Glowstone Flask, Ravines dungeon rooms for Soul Chip, and Sift rifts for Ocelot’s Paw. These special rooms are not present in every generated run; another run may be needed.
After collecting the eighth talisman, look for the collection-complete and secret-door-open notifications. The notification is better evidence of the unlock than this website’s manually checked boxes.
Return to the pair of barred gates at the Secret Door marker in Howling Woods. Enter the newly opened route into Lush Caves, the mossy secret area.
Follow the secret dungeon to Mosstrosity. Wonderful Wheat is the boss reward; it is not a ninth item required to open the gates.

Medallion of Momentum

Humbler Huskland · Fixed chest

Travel to Humbler Huskland in the Sift and open its Medallion of Momentum map marker. The video chapter starts at 3:01 with the world-map approach.
In the recorded route, pass the shallow water and stone ruins, then follow the partly concealed ledge around the tall stone blocks.
Cross the small platform gaps along the outer ledge to reach the separate chest platform. Use the 3:01–3:52 clip to match the turns; the chest pin alone does not show this approach.
Open the talisman chest and pick up the Medallion. It counts toward the eight-chest collection; defeating Mosstrosity is the later step.

Soul Chip

Ravines dungeon in the Sift · random secret room · Procedural room; not every run

Enter a Ravines dungeon in the Sift. Wikily identifies its generated dungeon rooms as the Soul Chip chest source; the community walkthrough describes the entrance as a dungeon in the Sift.
Explore for a room with a sequence of jump pads. Use the first pad to reach the next and follow the sequence toward the green platform, as shown in the linked walkthrough.
Walk onto the green platform. This is the activation step that reveals the hidden chest; merely reaching the room is not enough.
Open the revealed talisman chest and collect Soul Chip. It contributes to the eight-talisman collection that unlocks the Lush Caves route.

Soul Chip is one of the eight talismans collected before opening the Howling Woods secret door. It is not the Mosstrosity boss reward.

The room is missing

For the three procedural entries, check the correct dungeon or rift type and explore side rooms. The published sources do not give a spawn percentage or a guaranteed number of runs.

All boxes are ticked but the gate is shut

Website progress is manual. Compare your actual eight collected talismans with the list and check for the in-game completion message. Whether an alternative quest copy of Amethyst Lens triggers the chest-collection flag is not established; check its Howling Woods chest as well.

Do I need to equip or upgrade them?

The published requirement is collection of the eight secret talismans. No additional equipment, talisman-level or threat-level requirement is established by the linked sources.

Why does another guide say nine?

Eight chest talismans unlock the door; Wonderful Wheat from Mosstrosity makes nine rewards across the whole route.

Evidence & limitations

Community evidence: Wikily documents the collection and gate; BrosClanYt supplies a recorded route published 30 September 2026; the linked player report adds procedural-room puzzle hints. These are not official developer instructions or a route we reproduced in game.
Map pins reproduce published map positions, not player coordinates. Procedural rooms have no fixed world-map pin. Use the video to match local landmarks when a top-down marker does not explain the approach.
Chest talismans are collection prerequisites. A source tag saying “Mosstrosity secret quest” does not mean that Mosstrosity drops those eight items.
Wonderful Wheat is listed as a guaranteed Mosstrosity reward. General gear and Echo Shards are additional boss drop records; no named gear or Unique chance follows from them.
